A Home for the Street Children

Like several other cities and towns in various parts of the world, those of Tanzania also face the problem of street children. Some of them are born in the streets, a few are abandoned there, many are forced by circumstances to run away from home and take refuge in the streets due to circumstances.

 
       
 

  

There are also still others who come to cities fascinated by its  marvels and  lures. 

Unfortunately, many of them die of AIDS and other diseases, and some of them become outlaws and thieves.

  
       
 

  

To help them in the best way possible - of course animated by the spirituality of St Francis de Sales - is the aim of the SFS Children's Home in the Archdiocese of Tabora in Tanzania. It gathers children from the streets, provides them with opportunities for stable growth, educates them, renders them free medical aid, and trains them to be responsible citizens.
