The dawn of the year 2003 witnessed the inauguration of three new educational institutions:

 

De Sales English Medium School

Isaka in Tanzania

SFS Vocational Training Centre

Mwakata in Tanzania

St Joseph's Vocational Training Centre

Mlolongo in Kenya

 

 

 

 

De Sates English Medium School in the diocese of Kahama is to provide elementary education to children of 5-15 years, starting from Nursery to class Seven. The school was opened on January 13, 2002, with 148 students and seven staff. 

 

St Joseph's Vocational Training Centre in the diocese of Machakose in Kenya offers three months' crash course in tailoring for which there is a lot of public interest as it offers job opportunities for those who successfully complete the course.

 

 

 

 

SFS Vocational Training Centre - also in the diocese of Kahama - was inaugurated on February 17. It trains pupils in the field of Automobile Mechanics, welding technology, carpentry and Secretarial skills.
