The spirituality of St. Francis de Sales is a “Spirituality of the Heart,” relevant today as in the time of St. Francis de Sales himself - an all-embracing, Down-to-earth Spirituality for everyone.

Fr. Joe Thevenet

On November 12, 2002, we lost Fr Joseph (Joe) Thevenet, one of the last confreres, who had worked for a long time as a missionary in India. Born in Savoy in 1924, Fr Joe joined the Amravati mission in 1951. Meanwhile, his cousin Ernest Thevenet died after 58 years of missionary work in India. Fr Joe also served St John's Technical School, Nagpur, as its Principal. Being simple and humorous, he was well appreciated by all.

Bro. George Bosson

Bro. George Bosson, born in 1926 in Chablais, the brother of the well-known confrere Fr. Alphonse, "the smile" of Les Allinges, and a very hospitable and generous brother to all, breathed his last on October 23, 2002. After his death we found the following lines in his room: I'm a Brother in the Congregation of the MSFS since 1942. I chose this vocation to give myself totally to the Lord and to my confreres. My particular mission is to show to the world that the Gospel is made actual by the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. The attachment to money, pleasure and honour cause division among men; Christ wants from us unity above all."

Fr. Paul Rime

Fr. Paul Rime, the former Procurator General of the MSFS, the youngest of the three 'Rime-brothers' offered his soul to the Lord on March 18,2003, in Fribourg, where he had been on retirement since 1998.
