Fr. Emile Mayoraz Academic Block, Suvidya College 

Suvidya College was established in 1984 and in a short time it has become one of the prestigious Institutes of Philosophy in India with 264 students on its role out of which 165 belong to 6 Provinces of our Congregation and are resident on the campus and 99 belong to 7 religious Congregations and the Archdiocese of Bangalore. Due to the increasing demand for admissions, the Governing Body of the College had set in operation the construction of a new academic Block, which was blessed on June 14, 2003, on the opening day of the academic year 2003-2004 by Fr Emile Mayoraz. It is named Fr Emile Mayoraz Academic Block in recognition of the invaluable services rendered by Fr Mayoraz to Suvidya College as the Superior General of the Congregation for 24 years.

  

 

The new feature introduced in the curriculum of Suvidya from this academic year is a 2 year Philosophy course for those who have completed their University Graduate Studies. There are 12 students to begin this new course in the new academic year.
