Nine years after the foundation stone was laid, the new school building for St John's pre-primary and primary sections in Nagpur was blessed and inaugurated on March 5, 2004. His Grace, Archbishop Abraham Viruthakulangara and Rev. Fr. Joseph Pulloppillil msfs, the Provincial of Nagpur Province, blessed it, and Rev. Fr Agnelo Fernandes msfs, our Superior General inaugurated the new building. Shri. Anees Ahmed, Honourable Minister of State for Higher and Technical Education, State of Maharashtra, was the Guest of Honour. The staff of St. John's School, representatives of Old Boys' Association and a sizable number of Fathers, Sisters and Brothers, in addition to other invitees, graced the occasion.

 

  
 

The magnificent structure captured the heart of every one present. Eco-friendly and artistically constructed, the two-storeyed building has 25 classrooms in addition to visitors' room, staff rooms, office-rooms, a mini-hall for computer education, and Head Mistress' office. The project bears testimony to the power of co­operation and collaboration. Parents, former students, benefactors and the management have all played a significant role in the completion of the project.
