Blessing after Blessing in ONGHA in Namibia

The year 2003 was one of blessing for the parish of Ongha. Four of its communities - Onengali Oshikango, Epalala and Omafo - were privileged to have their churches blessed by Rt. Rev. Bp Liborius Ndumbukuti Nashenda OMI, the administrator of the archdiocese of Windhoek, in the months of January and May 2003 respectively.

 

The day of blessing of the church was a day of great rejoicing for each community. The faithful gathered early in the morning in their communities. They welcomed the Bishop in their traditional way of dancing and singing. After the blessing, all thanked and praised God for receiving the blessing of the Lord on their churches.

  
 

 

The events were well attended by many Catholics from neighbouring communities too. All appreciated the Bishop for spending the whole day with these communities, talking with them and trying to know their problems.
