Missions for the Youth

Being faithful to the missionary legacy of our Congregation, our confreres conduct various ministries to assist and motivate the youth in different parts of East Africa. We get a very positive response from the participants as these campus programmes and services inspire and motivate the youth for a better life.

  

 

 

 

The Fransalian Communications recently conducted a seminar for the Secondary School students and a seminar for the University students. The parish of Kahama-Mbulu Mission conducted two seminars (Dec. 2003 and April 2004) for the youth to prepare them for a more meaningful celebration of Christmas and Easter.

  

 

 

 

In December it was a Train the Trainer' programme, an attempt to form the youth leaders for each out-station. The seminars also focused on AIDS awareness programmes.  St. Joseph's Parish, Mlolongo (Kenya), situated at the outskirts of Nairobi town, organized a one-day seminar for the youth animated by resource-persons in the field of HIV/AIDS in September 2003, which was attended by about two hundred youth.
