FIDESIndia - the Fransalian Initiative for Developmental & Educational Services in India, an initiative of the South-West Province - is the manifestation of our foundational charism and vision of being sharers in the mission of Christ, by the tremendous commitment to the integral development of the human person and of the poor, the needy and the marginalized of the society. A just, equal social order and belief in the transforming ability of the human individual towards responsible well-being is its motto and mission. 

  
 

Ceaseless and responsible work in 24 villages and 5 slums in and around the garden city of Bangalore, forming of 30 Self-Help Groups for women below poverty line, and the organization and successful running of homes for orphan and semi-orphans highlight some of the humble achievements of FIDESIndia. The programmes mainly fall under two categories: Supportive Educational Initiatives comprising of homes for children, free tuition centres, drop-out programmes, and children and youth camps; Integral Development Programmes, which include empowerment programmes for women and value-based education and social awareness camps for villages and slums. NEST, a project aimed at bringing out the best out of poor but gifted children, is its latest venture.
