Sr. Emmanuelle, a ninety-six year nun of the Congregation of the Notre-Dame de Sion, born in Belgium, a former Professor of Arts and Philosophy in Istanbul, Tunisia and Alexandria, well known for her humanitarian works among the rag-pickers of Cairo, was at Ville-la-Grand at our invitation, on October 8, 2004, and talked to the school community on “Life is a Gift.”
