The spirituality of St. Francis de Sales is a “Spirituality of the Heart,” relevant today as in the time of St. Francis de Sales himself - an all-embracing, Down-to-earth Spirituality for everyone.

Through the year with St. Francis de Sales

Meet the humanness of the Saint and the saintliness of the human, meditating daily with the Master of Devotion and the Doctor of Love.

Suvidya College is the realisation of a long cherished dream that has the history of more than a century. The establishment of Suvidya College in 1984 was not just the fulfillment of that long cherished dream, but is also the culmination of a series of historical events. During its existence in India since 1845, the Congregation of the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales have been making series of efforts to create facilities for its young members to receive adequate religious formation that is fully Christian as well as Indian.

Divya Tejas is the mutli-faceted campus we visualize to establish in view of the integral Mission Oriented Theological Formation Programme. In this campus we envisage to have six different ministries – Children’s village, Home for the aged, Retreat cum counseling centre, Social work centre, Educational institution and Institute for mission oriented theological formation (Tejas. The students of theology will be involved in the various ministries during their theological formation. All of them would form one Fransalian family. The concrete and creative involvement of the scholastics in these ministries would equip and empower them in their mission for the future. The scholastics would be made to interact and respond to concrete life situations.

To provide a centre of excellence for a holistic formation of young people who are capable of both transforming themselves and of acting as catalysts of transformation in the society so that they become epitomes of efficiency, in mastering their life- situations and in building a progressive and secular nation.

St. Francis de Sales Junior Seminary - Kihonda (Tanzania)

St. Francis De Sales Junior Seminary was opened in the year 1993, by the Missionaries of St. Francis De Sales, exclusively for the education and formation of the students for religious life and priesthood in the Roman Catholic Church. But later reading the signs of the time, perceiving the needs of the locality and understanding the efforts of the Government to give education, the Congregation decided in the year 1999 to open up the seminary for the Christian public keeping the structure of the seminary as it is, holding high the ideals of giving Christian formation, education and inculcating high moral and ethical values to the youth of Tanzania. Today it offers a programme of Pre-Form I leading to the Ordinary Level ("O") and Advanced Level ("A") examinations, which qualifies one for further studies.
