Links with the missions abroad:
During the first century of
its life, the MSFS Congregation saw European missionaries (French or Swiss)
travel to other countries, especially India and South-America. Now, the dynamism
of the Indian Provinces makes them send missionaries to the five continents.
Now, 7 Indian confreres are full members of the Franco-Swiss Province, 2 of them
in the Poland mission.
The links with the missions
abroad are also alive with the Brazil Province (about 10 European confreres are
working there) and the Chile Mission (the first 2 Chilean confreres studied
theology in Europe).
Since 2003, links with the
South-West India Province were strengthened, especially due to the opening of
the Chad-Cameroon mission.
French
language facilitates cooperation
between them and us.
The missionary bulletin « La
Lettre aux Amis » is trying every month to keep our minds open to the needs of
the missions (material, financial, but also human and spiritual needs). It gives
information on the life of the whole Congregation.
